Korean actor Song Joong-ki shared his thoughts about ongoing controversy and criticism on recent film 'The Battleship Island'.
On September 18, Song Joong-ki had an interview with Marie Claire magazine for its Busan International Film Festival(BIFF)'s special issue.
According to the interview, Song Joong-ki thinks all of the movie process and controversy surrounding it was time for him to grow.
He said, "I did feel distressed at the film's box office failure and criticism surrounding it. But I've realized I should take some time and reflect on myself first. If I've done better at acting, I could've brought more audiences to the theaters."
He added, "I'm sure all that time I've spent with senior actors while filming 'The Battleship Island' will serve as a foundation for my growth."
His recent movie 'The Battleship Island' had a controversy over screen dominance that the country's largest cinema chain CJ CGV gives preferential treatment to films invested and distributed by CJ Entertainment.
