[SBS Star] Korean Celebrities Celebrate the North Korea-U.S. Summit

Korean celebrities left commemorative messages for the historic meeting of the two representatives from North Korea and the United States.

On June 12, the first summit between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and the U.S. President Donald Trump takes place in Singapore.

This significant meeting of the two leaders is expected to hold talks between the two countries, mainly discussing nuclear disarmament. In the early morning of today, President Trump and leader Kim appeared for the brief handshake photo session.

The pair shook hands and signaled a positive attitude for the peaceful relationship without diplomatic twists.

From seeing this meaningful handshakes of the two leaders, many Korean celebrities brightly responded to the unforgettable encounter. Singer Yoon Jong Shin, for instance, uploaded a short video of the two's meeting and concisely commented, "Wow, they met."

Following Yoon Jong Shin's post, actor Lim Ju Hwan also uploaded a screenshot of the representatives from TV. Impressed by the notable gathering, he commented, "Good."

Excited by the summit, SiWon from K-pop boy group Super Junior left a commemorative message on his personal social media account as well.
He said, "The 2018 North Korea-United States summit on June 12. It is the first step towards world peace, a journey of peace. I am praying for success."
