"There won't be second PSY, but there will be second BTS."
K-pop sensation BTS has successfully entered into competitive American music industry. But many experts say their popularity is different from previous K-pop singer and rapper PSY's back in 2012.
Experts say, while 'Gangnam Style' PSY earned popularity for his fun and cheerful dance moves and tunes like 'Macarena' and 'PPAP', BTS has earned its popularity through receiving massive support from fans―ARMY.
The most distinguished difference would be the scale of its fandom. Experts say through BTS' music videos and lyrics fans can empathize their problems being millennials.
BTS arrived in Los Angeles, California on November 19, and attended '2017 American Music Awards'. It is first-ever Korean artist group to attend the event.
Even leading entertainment news companies in the stateside like Billboards, Entertainment Tonight, and Hollywood Reporter, reported about BTS.
BTS also broke Guinness World Records, for most Twitter engagements.
Then they recently made a debut on TV programs like 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show', 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' and 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'.
Moreover, BTS finished pre-recording for ABC's popular year-end show 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rocking' Eve', proving their global popularity.
