[SBS Star] Siwon of Super Junior is Not Attending Japan Fan Meeting; Here's Why

K-pop boy group Super Junior's Siwon(Choi Siwon) is not attending the group's upcoming fan meeting in Japan.

On October 24, several Japanese media outlets reported that Japanese fans would not be meeting Siwon during Super Junior's upcoming fan meeting.
There was also an official announcement posted on Super Junior's Japan official website, stating, "Siwon will not be joining the 'ELF-Japan Festival 2017 ~Super Sports Day~' Fan Meeting, which will take place on October 24 to 25."

There has been speculation that the reason for his absence is due to his recent controversy surrounding his family.

Siwon's family dog, Bugsy, recently had bitten a neighbor and allegedly caused her death few days later.

Bugsy reportedly was known to bite people multiple times, and the family of the deceased stated that they will leave euthanasia up to Siwon's family's conscience.

However, Super Junior's management agency SJ Label stated that his absence is solely due to his 'Revolutionary Love' drama filming.
