[SBS Star] Hoya Decides Not to Renew His Contract, Leaves INFINITE

K-pop boy group INFINITE's member Hoya decided not to renew his contract with his current management agency.

On August 30, the agency Woollim Entertainment announced that he leaves INFINITE through an official statement.

While Hoya departs from the group, 6 other INFINITE members decided to renew their contracts.
The full statement is as follows:

"Hello, this is Woollim Entertainment.

First of all, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to the fans who support and love INFINITE.

This is our official statement about the group's contract renewal.

We are announcing that as of June 9, 2017, INFINITE's Hoya's contract with our company expired.

We would like to apologize for announcing this heartbreaking news to the cheering fans.

Early June, Hoya expressed his plans to walk a different path in order to fulfill his dreams, and the other members and the company decided to respect his choice.

Since it has to be a careful decision, we took enough time to discuss with Hoya, and he decided to leave INFINITE along with the contract expiration.

Other members of INFINITE―Sunggyu, Dongwoo, Woohyun, Sungyeol, L, and Sungjong completed their contract renewal and are preparing to regroup INFINITE as 6.

Our company will support the members' promotions both as a group and as individuals.

INFINITE members will put their utmost efforts to meet loving fans with a better music.
